KTA were appointed along with Coreus (PM/QS) directly by the University, to relocate the Faculty of Business from the existing Cookworthy building to a more prominent site on the campus, the Fitzroy.
Our current strong relationships with the University along with our involvement in previous studies enabled us to hit the ground running and develop proposals that not only meets the clients needs but minimise the disruption to the University operations.
This involved understanding and thoroughly testing whether the space requirements could be accommodated.
We were appointed to design and refurbish, at a reasonable cost, a 50 year old building to deliver the Universities Core Principles of Quality, Sustainability, One Team and Reputation.
The team were involved in weekly user group meetings, stakeholder meetings and client sign offs which allowed the design to follow a very efficient and coordinated approach.
Being local, we used this to our advantage, further enhancing the strong relationship with the UoP and championing social value and economic wellbeing within the City of Plymouth.
